Fonts too thin after skia was introduced to Windows in bug 1007702.
See attachment: Left and middle: Exported message as HTML and viewed in FF, 48 and Nightly 51, Courier New, 14px.
Right, the same message in TB 51 Daily of today, new profile, so I didn't mess up any preferences.
If I remove "skia" from these preferences
gfx.content.azure.backends
gfx.canvas.azure.backends
it goes back to normal.

I carefully compared the gfx.* preferences of FF 51 Nightly and TB 51 Daily, and bingo, gfx.direct2d.disabled was different. Resetting this makes the fonts become good again.
So I think we need to follow FF here and remove the special setting.

Hmm, or perhaps this is wrong. The fonts only look good when hardware acceleration is turned on and with gfx.direct2d.disabled set to false.

Sorry, I've got it now. With FF 48 the fonts look OK even with HWA switched off, with FF 51 they look bad with HWA off, that's the difference, same in TB.
