Details

OSX currently does not support an API similar to NVidia Gameworks, and thus only supports OSVR in extended mode. Firefox should present a window in a location configured in the OSVR server's json file so that it appears aligned correctly in the headset.

We need to determine if submitting frames with direct mode rendering is possible on OSX. If not possible, or some devices are not supported with direct mode rendering on OSX, we need to enable extended mode rendering for OSVR. The WebVR API should abstract the differences between direct and extended mode rendering. The browser should transparently open a window positioned correctly to cover the HMD's display in extended desktop mode.
