Hi, As I read in the newsgroups at news://news.mozilla.org:119/3AE9D578.D2350719@netscape.com - there is support in the XPInstall engine for installing packages without the browser running. However, this is no standalone app to perform such installation. This kind of standalone app could be useful, for example, to script an automatic daily download+install of mozilla(nightly)+java+optimoz, so to keep up to date with Mozilla.
