User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build ID: 20161017030209 Steps to reproduce: I visited https://hangouts.google.com/ Click on video call (need to be logged in with a Google account) Actual results: I get rediorected to the Install the Hangouts Plugin to get started page. https://www.google.com/tools/dlpage/hangout Expected results: It should start video call. I have Google Hangouts plugin installed. It works on Firefox Dev Edition (v51) and on stable (v49) Google hangouts is a really popular browser plugin. I stopped using Flash player I year ago but I still use Google Hangouts. I need it for work since it is the official video call app inside our company. A non-working Google Hangouts plugin will force other Firefox users to go to Chrome if this issue hits stable :(
Hey bsmedberg - I suspect this is known, right?

Yes, intentional behavior change from bug 1269807. We're working with Google to have a non-plugin solution in place for hangouts before this hits release.
