If I try to subscribe to the same POP server (e.g mail-hub.optonline.net) using
two different IDs, (e.g. bob and joe), the second subscription does not
configure properly. (A directory under
~/.mozilla/user/Mail/mail-hub-2.optonline.net isnt created. Also, the second
mailserver doesnt show up on the mail/news browser.)
If however I subscribe using a bogus pop server for the second user and change
it later on, everything works fine.
D, please use http://www.mozilla.org/quality/help/bugzilla-helper.html or
include steps to reproduce and the build ID. Are you literally talking about
Subscription or the Account Manager/Wizard?
Build ID: 2002031312
Steps to create the problem:
1) Either click on "Create new account" on mail/news browser or "Edit ->
Mail&Newsgroups Account Settings -> Add Account" to add a new account.
2) Add POP server: mail.blah.blah
User : Joe
(At this point server mail.blah.blah shows up in the mail browser (all necessary
files and directories have been created)
3) Again click on "Create new account" on mail/news browser or "Edit ->
Mail&Newsgroups Account Settings -> Add Account" to add a new account.
4) Add POP server: mail.blah.blah
User : Jack
Problem: account Jack isnt created properly. A different directory isnt created.
A new tree on the mail/news browser doesnt show up.

I don't remember having these problems (win98).
Does the bug still exist in current builds?
