This might fit as a new section in the Network tab of the Developer Tools. We could include a Proxy section which show a log of which proxies have been used to load URLs. The main purpose for such a log would be to help with user assistance when users experience issues. For more information, see the proxy API design document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1W45o5X2bFRPrTaQDFp9IzTJ8njCVfEgyENS7i2owaUI/edit?usp=sharing

How is this fixed/resolved? Is it already supported by the implementation in bug #1295807?

This can already be implemented by addons that want it (see e.g. FoxyProxy Web Extension). So I'm not sure we need to build something else for the API.
