From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311
BuildID: 2002031106
if i begin a large download and want to return focus to the window in which i
clicked to begin the download, i cannot use the Tasks menu to do so. i must
actually click the title bar of the window in which i want focus.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch Mozilla
2. visit http://download.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla0.9.8/
3. click a full installer to download
4. Tasks->Index of /pub/mozilla...
Actual Results: the Tasks menu puts a checkmark next to the original window but
does not return focus to it.
Expected Results: focus should switch to the original window.
i've actually had several problems with the behavior of Mozilla when the
download window is active. i don't know if all such bugs are related to bug
95416, but i encounter that one on a regular basis. window behavior just seems
inconsistent once the download dialog is open.

the same thing happens if you open Download Manager. i'm not sure if i should
file a separate bug or not.
i'm getting this now in 1.0RC1 (Build ID: 2002041712) on OS X.
to reproduce:
1. launch Mozilla
2. visit http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/
3. Tools->Download Manager
4. Window->mozilla.org Bugz...
instead of returning focus to the browser window, the menu item stays
highlighted, even if you explicitly click on the browser window.
i can file a new bug if necessary, but these two seem pretty related.
Confirmed using Mac/2002072203. (Doesn't this belong on XP Toolkit/Widgets as a focus bug?)

This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.
I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.

Now, on build 2003120105 things seem to work fine, at least for me.
