User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.76 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: In Ubuntu 16.0.4, run $sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade (Or run Ubuntu software updater). Dpkg will fetch and install the following: 2017-01-29 08:34:18 configure firefox:amd64 51.0.1+build2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 <none> 2017-01-29 08:34:18 status unpacked firefox:amd64 51.0.1+build2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 2017-01-29 08:34:18 status unpacked firefox:amd64 51.0.1+build2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 2017-01-29 08:34:18 status unpacked firefox:amd64 51.0.1+build2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 2017-01-29 08:34:18 status unpacked firefox:amd64 51.0.1+build2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 2017-01-29 08:34:18 status unpacked firefox:amd64 51.0.1+build2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 2017-01-29 08:34:18 status half-configured firefox:amd64 51.0.1+build2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 2017-01-29 08:34:20 status installed firefox:amd64 51.0.1+build2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 Firefox shall prompt to restart. Close firefox and open again. Actual results: Firefox opens without issue, Address bar and tabs open fine. Internal pages ("about:*") work fine. The content however is blank for any external web site. All html is present and can be inspected. Other Components (DOM, etc.) appear to be present. Nothing is rendered. Expected results: I would expect to see the intended content
Starting in "Safe Mode" (with add-ons disabled) renders flashing black rectangles (I would need a video capture to describe it properly) But it seems to indicate issues with GTK?
Probably a dupe of bug 1334748. Do you have AppArmor installed? If yes, disable it and retry.
