should the installer be "smart" about already installed plugins not in "plugins" directory

Currently the installer just installs mozilla, which is cool.
But I thought: what about if the user already installed a plugin fx Adobe
Acrobat Reader, should the mozilla installer auto detect that and copy the
"nppdf32.dll" file to the plugin directory?
Bug 133752 is just about that just with the Java JRE plugin.

I think that bug 133282 is a fix for that bug:
Popular plugins are now scanned in their installation folder
so is this FIXED ?
