Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 BuildID: 2002031104 When saving a new bookmark, dragging the bookmark link onto the personal toolbar does NOT open the dropdown. Dropping the link onto the personal toolbar saves the bookmark as the last one on the list. No option exists for saving it any other place. In Netscape 4.7 it was possible to put the new bookmark in a folder in the personal toolbar, there was no problem putting it where you want it. In Mozilla, type ctrl-B, opens separate window with bookmarks, dragging a link to that works, but the difference is this: When you click the link to drag it, the mozilla window pops to front, the bookmarks window is then in back, so you cannot put the link where you want. This is inconvenient, and Netscape 4.7 does NOT behave that way. Bookmarks window stays in front. I have figured it out. I work with a guy who uses IE. He searches google for everything. Why? IE's "favorites" are inconvenient. Alphabetical order for one thing. Mozilla's bookmarks behave somewhat like IE, whereas Netscape 4.7 is very conducive to saving things in folders, in whatever order you want it in! I have been using Netscape since version 1.1, and I have very extensive saved bookmarks, and that amazes people. I have friends IM me and say "where can I find this", and I will often have 30 saved netscape bookmarks on the subject. Blows their minds. IE people don't tend to do that. Can't save things, can't find things. I hope Mozilla can someday be a real power tool. And very convenient bookmark usage is important! Now, if something can be done to speed it up! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Save bookmarks on personal toolbar 2.The only place they can be saved is at the end of the list 3.This is inconvenient. Expected Results: Should behave like Netscape 4.7. More convenient.
works for me ! Build 2002040203 - WinXP
