Details
Build ID: 1999091010
Platform: Windows NT (only; can't repro on Linux, gfx not enabled on Mac)
To reproduce:
- Launch appruner
- Select Edit | Preferences
- Switch between different prefs panels (that have text input controls)
Result: When a panel is drawn, the text input controls get drawn in the upper
left hand corner of the panel's area, one over the other, and then it all
refreshes and the controls scoot to their proper positions.
Expected result: The preference panels should just appear fully formed; the
drawing and moving (and the ensuing flickering) is problematic.
Marking PP because I can't reproduce this on the 1999091009 build on Linux with
either native or gfx widgets.

I can reproduce this by making text labels reallyreallylongintheprefdtdfiles.
It might be a mis-use of springs, adding evaughan.

Resolution: --- → FIXED
Fixed enough in the 1999121508 build, Linux. (Now, the prefs go black when you
switch to another panel, and then the new panel just appears. Not ideal, but
okay.)
Bulk move of all Pref UI component bugs to new Preferences component. Pref UI
component will be deleted.
