User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0
Build ID: 20170418123315
Steps to reproduce:
I wanted to look at the - not attached - PDF in the message received. It is shown in the attachments pane of the display window.
Actual results:
When clicked on the attachment, the PDF gets written to temp, but it will not be decoded, so the pdf-viewer fails. Same when doing "Save attached file" to some location.
Expected results:
The PDF content should be decoded before writing to temp/file system. This works in 45 but fails in 52.

This Bug 701261 looks related, but it is old (and the description is very wordy). The difference is also: I see the binary in the attachments pane, it is only saved wrongly.

This is a Dupe of Bug 1361422
It is already fixed on trunk and beta TB. Release TB will follow - I think.
Attachment 8865093 [details] works for me on trunk TB.
