(Keywords: feature, Whiteboard: [fxsearch])
On Firefox #slack today people were talking about Chrome/Chromium's tab-to-search functionality, and how smart and intuitive it is. Basically any site with the right metadata that the user visits, Chrome will offer to search if they start entering that site in the location bar again. It's quite lovely and intuitive and it would be great if Firefox's awesomebar did something similar.

probably mistyped the number?
TAB in Firefox Address Bar is already used to move through results, so we'll need a different solution to activate the feature.

sorry, bug 782557.
I hope it is Tab to activate search, Shift+Tab to focus while this feature is can be activate, but this brings an inconsistency to accessible users. Shift+Tab is inconvenient to reduce its usefulness. Ctrl+Tab is switch tab.
