Browsing Facebook.

Firefox for desktop hangs and then crashes without generating a bug report.

I am more concerned with why breakpad is failing to work and less concerned with what the cause of this specific hang or crash is. At least if breakpad is working and crash reports are submitted we have something to work with. Without a crash report we have almost no information to go on. We also loose the statistical information generated by crash reports. 

Firefox beta 55.0b3 on Windows 7.

skywalker, the dump that you sent me of this, was that a dump collected from a crash? Or a dump from crashfirefox.exe during the hang?

Can you attach your about:support? I'm interested in e10s, addons, and graphics settings in particular.

It was a dump collected while firefox was hung, not from crashfirefox.exe.

The order of occurrence was:

Browsing Facebook.
Firefox (Not Responding) [title bar]

Windows Error message:
"Firefox is not responding. If you close the program, you might lose information."
Close the Program (clicked).

"Windows is checking for a solution to the problem."

Windows 7 Resource Monitor shows Firefox process as "Suspended". CPU 0%. Average CPU 0%.

Windows 7 Task Manager. Firefox.exe. Create Dump File.

There's no stack or anything attached to this bug, so I can't really say.

Trevor: if this issue still occurs for you, can you provide a stack trace or a minidump file?

I have full dumps available (sharing with Benjamin Smedberg). I could also start generating minidumps. 

I use crashfirefox.exe as well but sometimes it does not work. I receive the error, "Could not create remote thread." (
See Bug 1409039)

I don't have a stack trace without a bug report. Breakpad is failing.

This also occurs when I'm not using Facebook.
