Thanks for reporting this! This could be related to the recently landed throttling feature. Its intention is to throttle downloads ONLY for the short periods when there is something actively loading for the page in the active tab (tho, the throttle trigger is a bit more complex for downloads to be honest.) The feature is brand new, so there could be bugs. Can you reproduce when you switch network.http.throttle.enable to false in about:config? How often can you reproduce this problem? Is any tab loading something? Specially the one that is active. Is the Nightly update being downloaded during the download? How many downloads are you running at the time and how is the speed of others? Absolutely perfect would be to produce a log (send to my bugzilla email if privacy would be a concern): https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Debugging/HTTP_logging Thanks!
I'm out of the home till Sunday. In Sunday evening I will be back and I will be able to check some things. This problem have been occuring every time I tried to download anything. I was downloading only one thing at a time. No, no tab load anything during download.

Based on your reply the HTTP logs are needed to figure this out. I'll add the ni? again, just not to get this lost ;) Thanks!

Well, maybe something was fixed during this time, because I don't experience this anymore.

When you catch it again, please try to catch logs. I'll leave this open because I'm not aware of anything that would change on Nightly recently to fix this. I more believe the runtime state in Nightly has changed, but the bug is likely still there.

It's been days and there is no other report of this. Let's close this bug just to get it off the list. If it happens again, please reopen and feel free to open a new bug. Thanks!
