The fix for bug 117707 has landed on both trunk and branch. This bug is to document known behavior, fixed behavior, and notes on upgrading from a build which set incorrect preferences.

If Netscape decides to ship with the panel, btw, this should not go in, since we never had a release with the old panel.

Well, the first item about window.open causing some sites to lose functionality is still true and probably should go in the NS release notes... The second item should not.

In bug 118190 I argued against including a "may break sites" warning in the prefs panel. I think it's ok to include the warning in release notes, but I think we should add text to make it clear that it's the site's fault for opening unnecessary windows and/or making their windows look like pop-up ads: "These sites can fix themselves by opening windows in response to click events instead of load events, or by not opening extra windows."

I have failed to see why we need this entry. This bug and bug 118190 has short CC lists and I don't remember seeing related complaints in the newsgroups.
