This is an experiment we want to run, in order to confirm or refute our hypothesis that reducing the search access points will increase user satisfaction and make the browser easier to use. This functionality should be behind a pref, off by default, which we will flip in a Shield study.

This WIP patch doesn't yet cover the case of about:home loading with the focus on the search box, but otherwise works.
