Steps to Reproduce (not reliable):
1) https://www.instagram.com/taylorswift/
2) Click on one of the images.
3) Use the "<" or ">" button to navigate to a different image, until you find one with a taller vertical aspect ratio.
4) The avatar will appear unstyled as in the attached image.
5) Move the cursor over the avatar image -- it will become styled correctly. Then move the cursor over the avatar text -- it will become styled correctly. If you move the cursor over the avatat text first, both text and image will become styled correctly.
6) If you navigate away from the image and then come back, the avatar will be styled correctly (even if you didn't move cursor over the avatar).

Brad, can you still reproduce this bug? Bug 1371450 and I can't reproduce using your STR in comment 0.
