User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux ppc64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build ID: 20170520121639 Steps to reproduce: Tried to compile Firefox on Gentoo Linux, without skia enabled. Firefox configure told me I can no longer build without skia enabled, so I enabled skia. Actual results: Firefox compilation failed when compiling skia. Firefox cannot be build without skia anymore. Firefox 53+ can no longer be built/used on big endian systems until skia works properly big endian systems. Expected results: Skia should work on big endian systems, or Firefox 53+ should allow building without skia.
#1319389 seems to be related, as well as 849253, which is closed as RESOLVED? I wanted to select Firefox 53 as version, not 52. Sorry for that.
I am now attempting to build Firefox 53 with "--disable-skia-gpu" in the hope that it will help. See #1005535. I'll report back tomorrow.
Component: Untriaged → Graphics
Product: Firefox → Core
Version: 52 Branch → 53 Branch
The same issue as in my first comment occurs with --disable-skia-gpu --enable-skia.

Probably duplicate of either bug 1144632 or bug 1367008.
Blocks: big-endian

Is this fixed now that Skia builds have been fixed?

Jan, I think we build for ppc64 and this is already fixed, right?

I'm sorry, I do not currently have access to the system I was using when I reported this bug. I am OK with you closing the bug if you consider it fixed.
If you like, I can try to see if it is now fixed -- but that will not happen for a few weeks, at least.

We'll close it for now and you can reopen if not.
