STEPS TO REPRODUCE Open apprunner or viewer, with url "resource:/res/samples/test1.html" with the window is less than the width of the longest <pre> line (list-style: square outside url(resource:/res/gear1.gif); ) in my case 200 pixels wide is small enough. ACTUAL RESULTS 1. The right of the background animated image at the bottom of the page sometimes redraws statically, sometimes not at all depending on how fast the horizontal scrollbar is dragged right/left. EXPECTED RESULTS 1. The animated background to be consistently animated when scrolled to the right of the page. BUILD DATE & PLATFORM Linux 2.2.11, i686, Built from CVS 13/Sept/99 both Apprunner (BuildID 1999082316) & Viewer. Previously tested (circa 01/Sept/99) with M8 & M9 on Win95. Assigned to troy@netscape.com as per request in invalid bug 13826.

Patrick, this seems okay on Windows in viewer, so maybe it's a platform specific issue. I don't think it's layout, though

I also do not see this problem on Win95 M9 apprunner. Changed OS to Linux.

i cant load, resize and reload this page fine on linux on an oct. 8 build. marking worksforme.

After checking with a CVS clobber build from 08 Oct 99, I'm still seeing this problem persist with no improvement. To see it: Make the width of apprunner about 300 pixels, open test1.html, and scroll from the left to the right slowly. I'm getting a non-animated section of the gears.gif background on the right hand side of the window. I'm using the gtk toolkit, but, using the same method, can get the problem to occur when using the xlib toolkit. P.S. Ramiro: Your doing a fantastic job. Keep it up.

Clearing WorksForMe resolution due to reopen

After testing with a CVS build from 1st Nov 99 I am not seeing the problem anymore. I have noticed the flicker noticably disappear when scrolling making this problem harder and harder to reproduce. I cannot get this problem to occur anymore, so I'm resolving as WORKSFORME. Does anyone else get this?
