User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0
Build ID: 20170824142236
Steps to reproduce:
- Use Firefox Nightly 57.0a1 (2017-08-24) (64-bit)
Actual results:
The space between the icons on the bookmar back and the content below it is (in my opinion) too small.
Expected results:
A few more pixels should be added (also more padding around active hovered icon)
Severity: normal → minor
OS: Unspecified → Linux

Summary: Firefox Nightly not enough space between page & bookbar bar → No enough space between page view and bookmarks bar in Firefox Nightly
I've found a strange property of this. When maximized, I observe this bug. However, when in any other state but maximized (such as half-window or windowed), The top and bottom padding of the icons is larger, however the margin between the icon and the page view is still too small. My window density is set to "compact", however I've tried normal and touch with the same result. I've attached screenshots.

Sounds like a dupe of bug 1391593.

Could this be because of overflow and bug 1389966?

This isn't the case, when restarting Firefox, it still apprears. Even after a restart, if I add an icon, it still doesn't change the height of the bookmark bar.

You're right. I've retested this and it does work. I've placed the "Downloads" icon at the very far right and it is giving the expected result.
