Spin-off of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1390793#c2 > The touch event simulation is broken: I cannot > long-left-click-and-drag-to-right/left for scrolling, but have to use the > hardly-visible scroll bars (here Chrome is better) This would also be nice in order to be able to simulate "Wipe". Do not only think of Scrolling but for example also for Wiping through an image gallery.
Blocks: rdm-touch
No longer blocks: rdm-zoom
Thanks for filing, seems like a good enhancement!

Is there a way to bump the priority of this bug/feature, or mark its significance/popularity? I quite enjoy firefox as my dev environment, but this issue prevents me from solely using it :)

It's good to know this would be useful to you. When we get some time to rebuild touch simulation, we'll investigate issues such as this. Of course, if someone has time to contribute patches, it could happen sooner than that.

Marking this as a duplicate of Bug 1621781. The work there adds support for "swipe" and "dragging" gestures via RDM by left-clicking (holding) and dragging the pointer across the RDM viewport.
