From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417
BuildID: 20020417 (RC1)
NOTE: I've searched the bugzilla previous bugs, and while some are similar, I
can't find one that has this sort of result. Basically, I surf many pages each
day. Yet *occasionally* (and these events usually happen in clusters) the page
comes up with "no data" (that little pop-up window). Even as I reported this
bug, I clicked on the bug list for Networking HTTP
(http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&component=Networking%3A%20HTTP&cmdtype=doit)
and it gave me the pop-up. I retried it, and it worked first time. This is
continually happening - sometimes with form submission, sometimes not. For
example, on trademe.co.nz, it happened 5 min ago when I clicked the site
statistics. I'm still trying to isolate when and why it's happening, but it is
definitely happening quite frequently, and it's not the servers - it happens on
many sites and as soon as I reload, the page works (99% of the time).
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Surf a lot
2. Occasionally get "no data" popping up
3. Reload, page works
Actual Results: Page returns "no data", I reload and it works
Expected Results: Should work first time
Apologies for the extra email - the exact wording is "The document contains no
data". I received it again after posting the bug and reloading the "My bugs"
query page.
Summary: Browser keeps coming up with pop-up "no data" → Browser keeps coming up with pop-up "no data"

Darin fixed a bug in this area. Can you try it again with a nightly trunk build ?
Resolving as dup of bug 137965, fix checed in on trunk April 18 (branch Apr. 25)

Same behavior still exhibited as of 2002051006.
To reproduce (using socks 5 proxy):
Define both 'HTTP Proxy' and 'SOCKS Host' (v5) then start surfing.
Links intermittently fail to load.
Workaround:
Define 'SOCKS Host' only. Leave all other proxy settings blank.
Perhaps this bug should be reopened. The workaround is simple and effective, but
multiple proxy settings work with other browsers and this behavior is easily
introduced when a new a new Mozilla install imports these settings.
