Since the release of version 3.0, some of the components bundled have seen updates that we should probably take. Spinning new releases is a lot easier these days, so let's just get it done.

Matt Howell says that updating NSIS to version 3.02.1 isn't worth the effort given the changes it includes and our usage of it.

Any chance we can update Mintty as well? It keeps crashing on me since I updated Windows 10 to the Fall Creator's Update (bug 1411350), and the version we run (1.1.3, released on 2013 April 13) seems quite old relative to the latest version (2.8.1, released two days ago).

Erm, correction: bug 1411350 is *not* about Mintty frequently crashing on me, it's about frequent errors in c:\mozilla-build\python\lib\logging\__init__.py when using Mintty. However, Mintty is also frequently crashing on me.

I'd be happy to do so, but as far as I know, there isn't a newer MSYS build available than the one we ship.
