[Tracking Requested - why for this release]: The service will be unavailable before Firefox 58 is out. It should be removed in a timely manner.

OK, we can track this for 58. To make sure we have time to test, it would be good to land a fix before the beta 14 build on Jan. 8th.

No, since 57 all versions of Firefox ship from a single l10n repository (l10n-central). No more need to uplift.
Change has also been signed off already, so it will be in the next beta build.
