It would be great if we could open all pages in a bookmark folder as a set of tabs simply by Ctrl+Clicking on the folder icon. The tabs would be added to the tabs already present in the current window. This should be true whether the bookmark folder is on: 1) a bookmark menu 2) the bookmarks sidebar 3) the bookmark manager 4) the personal toolbar This is related to Bug 141619 but not the same, in the sense that even if that bug is fixed, it would still be a good idea to set Ctrl+Click as the shortcut to open bookmark folders as tabs. This is consistent with the current behavior of Ctrl+Click that opens a link in a new tab, and with Bug 137648 to open a bookmark in a new tab.
Depends on: 141619
Maybe you should consider marking this bug as blocking Bug 70501 - "[RFE] The middle mouse button should work more consistently. (also ctrl+click)".
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
See also bug 138063, drag-n-drop of multiple bookmarks should create a tab for each.
Marking as blocking Bug 70501.

This has be partly resolved by the patch to bug 72361 - middle-clicks open bookmark folders as if they were bookmark groups now. The behavior isn't yet consistent though, I think I can take care of this in two weeks.

(Bug 272800 may have also affected middle click behavior)
No, I don't have time for it in the moment, sorry.
