As this is a timeout (set to 30sec, I think), do we have statistics about execution duration in case of success? We have an overall decrease of service workers performance for the sake of security, it might have an impact, if we moved always close to the max. time in the past, but I do not expect this to be the case.

There are some issues related to service workers stability with high priority that might affect this, we will continue to observe this one but will investigate in detail only, if the rate keeps up.

It has failed 22 times in the past 7 days, mainly affecting android 7 opt platforms.

I am not aware of any difference in the code between android and other platforms here. Do we have general load statistics for the involved test platforms that we can overlay with the failure rate? Just to see, if this correlates to high loads or is really random.

This test contains a few race conditions that could cause it to
hang and time out. This commit removes them, hopefully solving the
intermittent failures.

Eden do we disable this until there is a fix? most failures are on android.
