Details

(Copied from https://github.com/mozilla/firefox-browser-architecture/issues/52) Originally raised by: https://github.com/dackdel Its hard to explain to I attached a video of the problem on imgur. Its specific to mac in firefox quantum fullscreen and if I have my "hide my menu bar" option on my mac os turned on. Then I cant access my tabs, this doesnt happen in other mac applications when I turn on "hide my menu bar". The link to the video https://imgur.com/a/SHyyQ This definitrly isint the right place to report such a thing I know but I honestly dont know where else to report it. I thought of reporting it in a repo you had called firefox ui but it was depreciated.
I don't think I see the problem in the video. Isn't the expected behavior that the menu bar appears when the mouse pointer reaches the top edge? Preliminarily moving to Widget: Cocoa. Maybe somebody there has a better understanding of what's wrong here, and why.
Component: Tabbed Browser → Widget: Cocoa
Product: Firefox → Core
I think dackdel expects behavior similar to that of Chrome, which lowers the tab-bar and URL-bar in sync with the title-bar making tabs easier to reach. More specifically, if you're full-screen and you want to change tabs, so you move your pointer to the tab-bar, but if you overshoot, the title-bar comes down and covers the tab-bar preventing you from changing tabs. In order to make the tab-bar visible again, you need to move your pointer well down (into page content), and then have another run at the tab-bar.
