User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Build ID: 20180202102708 Steps to reproduce: browsed to geizhals.at Actual results: noticed the a letter is a bit cut-off with WebRender enabled Expected results: text should not be cut-off, rendering with the "normal" opengl compositor looks fine

could this have something to do with clipping not taking into account antialising?

Jan: Maybe on your machine other fonts are used? Have you enabled subpixel-antialiasing? I'll give it a try with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE to rule out driver/hardware issues.

too bad, webrender fails to initialize with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE. However to me it looks like WebRender is not taking antialising into account, and clips right at the start of the bounding box of the text (maybe its a tile start), so the extra pixel row added by antialising is lost. Upon further inspection, not only the "G" is affected, other characters are affected in the same way - it is simply not that visible due to their different shape.

This may be fixed by bug 1396637. We should reevaluate once that lands.
Depends on: 1396637
(In reply to Clemens Eisserer from comment #0) Is it fixed now?
