browsed to geizhals.at
Actual results:
noticed the a letter is a bit cut-off with WebRender enabled
Expected results:
text should not be cut-off, rendering with the "normal" opengl compositor looks fine

could this have something to do with clipping not taking into account antialising?

Jan: Maybe on your machine other fonts are used?
Have you enabled subpixel-antialiasing?
I'll give it a try with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE to rule out driver/hardware issues.

too bad, webrender fails to initialize with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE.
However to me it looks like WebRender is not taking antialising into account, and clips right at the start of the bounding box of the text (maybe its a tile start), so the extra pixel row added by antialising is lost.
Upon further inspection, not only the "G" is affected, other characters are affected in the same way - it is simply not that visible due to their different shape.

This may be fixed by bug 1396637. We should reevaluate once that lands.
