I noticed this(I think this triggers it) when I got reply from bugzilla-daemon. First message body was overlaping status bar and together they flickered about 5 times/sec which caused also 100% cpu load. After while when I selected other mail headers flickering stopped. Some emails not from bugzilla seem normal except in few cases when message body overlaps status bar. However the main stopper is that I cannot scrool upper winow(message headers) to bottom after I select any message header. I have to close mailer, reopen it and then select new mail header. Everything worked normal till first mail from bugzilla-daemon. System: Slackware 8.0, Xfree 4.2.0
Please always include build ID in bug-reports. Sounds like a duplicate of bug 121583, but the fix was checked in on May 3rd.
Apologies: where do I get build id, is this output of about: command? Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0rc2) Gecko/20020510
That's one way to get the partial build ID, but you'll find the complete build ID on the titlebar of the Mozilla window. Can you create a new profile and try to replicate this with it?
It was right in front of my eyes ;) Build ID: 2002051009 I created new profile, I'll switch to it now and check new mail, since mail from bugzilla triggered this weird behaviour. I'll report back later.
I couldn't reproduce previous behaviour after creating new profile. I'll try to import messages from old profile to new one(any hint?), to see if that will trigger it.
I think I found out why this problem occurs. If subject line is too long it wraps to next line and I can't scroll to any other message it just jumps back. When I resize window so that subject (I'm talking about middle non-white window where message header is) fits to one line then it's ok. Messgae body sometimes still overlaps status. I found another bug which is probably related to this one: after View->Headers->All I cant'scroll message header window down (scrolling artefacts occur) just up
This is a similar problem I noticed while running the smoketests. It happens when the window is pretty small, probably when it is too small for the subject to fit. As I hover my mouse cursor over the email address in the vcard this happens
Problem seen during smoketest -> confirmed linux 2002051310

This is probably false bug report. Today I switched my old banshee for geforce 2mx, installed latest nvidia drivers and problem is gone. Probably some tdfx driver issue. Bug which remains is inability to scroll message header down after Viev->Headers->All

I disagree re false bug. I can confirm what sounds like this bug on Linux/X11 on 800x600 displays using Mozilla 1.2.1. It seems to be much the same as bug 131733 .

MASS-CHANGE: This bug report is registered in the SeaMonkey product, but has been without a comment since the inception of the SeaMonkey project. This means that it was logged against the old Mozilla suite and we cannot determine that it's still valid for the current SeaMonkey suite. Because of this, we are setting it to an UNCONFIRMED state. If you can confirm that this report still applies to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it back to the NEW state along with a comment on how you reproduced it on what Build ID, or if it's an enhancement request, why it's still worth implementing and in what way. If you can confirm that the report doesn't apply to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it to the appropriate RESOLVED state (WORKSFORME, INVALID, WONTFIX, or similar). If no action happens within the next few months, we move this bug report to an EXPIRED state. Query tag for this change: mass-UNCONFIRM-20090614

can anyone still reproduce? reporter's email address is dead (In reply to comment #10) > It seems to be much the same as bug 131733 That bug is duped to FIXED Bug 201379 - looking at inbox, the line between the text contained in the message and the messages wiggles or vibrates up and down (window/pane jumps/shakes/jitters)
