I do my local builds with the crash reporter disabled (ac_add_options --disable-crashreporter). Due to the recent changes from bug 1407693 (confirmed via local bisection), I now insta-crash on startup. For whatever reason, I can't even get Visual Studio to catch it in a debugger. Alex, is there any chance you can take a look please?

Yup, I'll have a patch up shortly. In the meantime, going to close this as a dupe of bug 1438209.
