In bug 1439285 I'm landing a hack around bug 1406134, to avoid flickering.

Either when that bug is fixed, or when bug 1440305 is fixed, we can remove this hack.

If we fix bug 1440305, it's even better, because I think we can even remove FinishStyle completely.
