Details

There should be a menu item "Open link in same window". So that clicking on it replaces the current window contents.

Andrei: This is WONTFIX for anything but Mac; see bug 64749 comment 15. If you wish to argue that it should happen for PC as well as Mac, please argue in bug 64749, not in this one.
