jrmuizel and I discovered this during Episode 23 of The Joy of Profiling[1]. Apparently, when drawing something like the graphics demo at https://lab.hakim.se/checkwave/, with WebRender, we're not caching the appearance of the checkbox that we get by querying the OS.
