Details
This is using build 2002051006 (a.k.a. RC2)
Clicking on a link to a PDF opens the PDF in the in-browser plug-in. However, in
my installation of Acrobat (ver 5.05 full, not Reader), I have unchecked
"Display PDF in Browser" (under Preferences/General/Options). Also, in W2K file
types, PDF is configured to "Confirm open after download" -- that preference is
also ignored.
IE 6 obeys the preferences correctly.
Expected behavior: I should get a dialogue asking whether to open or save the
file, and opening the file should open it according to my preferences -- in
Acrobat, not in the browser.
Opening a PDF attachment in Mail should also work the same way. I imagine this
is related to bug 76416.
A workaround is removing the plugin and only having the app defined as helper.
If acrobat plugin exists, it for now overrules using it as a helper app.
Resolving as dup of bug 19118 (by way of dup bug 144372)
