Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 8.1.0; Mobile; rv:60.0) Gecko/60.0 Firefox/60.0 Build ID: 20180515214401 Steps to reproduce: Open up Firefox on a device you've newly attached to Firefox sync. Notice your bookmarks have generic favicons, despite what favicons are present for bookmarks on other devices. Actual results: Generic favicons appear until you tap them (on Android). Expected results: Firefox should sync cached favicons across installs where bookmark sync is enabled. This would save the user from having to tap or click every single bookmark on their fresh Firefox install. If this sounds like too much, hide it in about:config.
This would be especially nice to have since add-ons that reloaded favicons depended on the old XUL interface, and are no longer functional in new Firefox versions, and they never worked on mobile to begin with.
Component: Untriaged → Android Sync
Product: Firefox → Firefox for Android
Android version: 5.1.1 Device: Nexus 5 Browser version: 62.0a1 2018-06-13 I was able to reproduce this bug following given steps to reproduce. Generic favicons are listed until I tap them. After taping them it's changing to expected favicons. I set the component to Android Sync. If it's not correct component please change it to correct one. Thank you

Thanks! We don't currently sync favicons; bug 428378 covers that.
