Details

I think whoever implemented text zoom with the mouse wheel was playing a joke. Scrolling down makes the text... larger! It seems obvious to me that up should be larger, and down should be smaller.
I am pretty sure there is a good reason for this. One thing I can think about is that IE does the same way. Apperently MS spends its fortune money on GUI interaction to see if it makes sense. As much as I don't like MS monopoly, I am convinced with their research on GUI Interaction. Then again, just my opinion.... =(
I agree. Up should be bigger, down smaller. It should be a configurable option though, for people accostumed to MS's twisted way of thinking ;)
"MS's twisted way of thinking" is more twisted than you think. In Internet Explorer ctrl-scroll-up makes text smaller, but in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) ctrl-scroll-up makes things BIGGER. Why? I don't know. But I vote for up=bigger, down=smaller. It just makes sense.
this should probably go into bug 37139
it's a dup.. what a pity. I agree the current behaviour is un-intuitive. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 141476 ***
