An experiment: 1) Open a local folder in Mozilla and add it to bookmarks. 2) View the bookmark. The contents of the folder should appear as bookmark items. Expected: Since we are viewing local files, people expect to see them in the icons used by their OS to represent their respective file type. Actual: All files, even local files, use bookmark-item.gif as their icon, contrary to what users expect. 3) Open the bookmarks sidebar. 4) Drag the local folder from the sidebar to the content area. The contents of the folder should now appear in both the sidebar and the content area. Expected: Sidebar and content area should use the same icon for the same files. Actual: Content area shows files in OS file type icons, but the sidebar uses the same icon for all files.
Im confirming this bug since it is a valid request.
