No, it's about creating a search plugin (we are doing this work at http://mycroft.mozdev.org) and adding the search plugin into Mozilla tree.

Re comment 6: not any more. The link you mention now is a 404. However, we have a mycroft plugin now which searches the html version of kartoo and returns results in the sidebar. In addition, we have a mycroft plugin which searches the flash page. Given the restrictions imposed by flash, the results cannot be parsed and it's only a "semi plugin", very useful for Firebird users. Nothing else can be done, therefore resolving this bug.

Did any code actually get checked into Mozilla here? If not, then the resolution is incorrect. A plugin (with respect to Mozilla) is a workaround, not a fix. Since there is no such thing as "CANTFIX", the bug should be re-resolved as WONTFIX.
