This is a metabug to track changes made to supported xptcall implementations. When we modify them for Tier-1 Firefox platforms, we'll mark the bug as blocking this one, so that maintainers of Tier-3 platforms can follow the changes and make any necessary modifications in the code they support.

Thanks for letting us know. I assume there haven't been any modifications to the Tier-1 code yet, correct?
Also, my current understanding was that Firefox would do away with the XPT code?

There have been recently, see the dependencies of this bug.

Not to my knowledge. We've moved off of it for a lot of things (i.e. the DOM), but we still use it for the frontend, and I don't expect that to change.
