Actual results: The open menu bar won't work anymore. It works only if the Firefox is restarted. Expected results: The open menu bar should have worked like normally instead of restarting.

Can you try this in Safe Mode? It is odd to me that the Firefox menu didn't close when you gave focus to the location bar. Go to about:support to find the button to enter Safe Mode.

Also, reporter, can you post the contents of about:support on the profile where you're seeing this?

This bug has the same cause as bug 1484275, but with the awesomebar results popup instead of the bookmarks star popup.
