Steps to reproduce:
After migrating to Ubuntu from Win, one of the most annoying and unpleasant things I dealt with is extremely slow deletion of messages in Thunderbird in comparison to TheBat. So, it is not really bug but architectural problem in Thunderbird. For example, try to delete 1000 messages from folder in cheap laptop.
Actual results:
Deletion of messages is slow; it takes minutes.
Expected results:
It should be done for several seconds; but not for minutes. And subsequent compacting should take seconds too.
