From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0rc3) Gecko/20020523 BuildID: 2002052306 Mozilla doesn't enable Windows XP visual styles on web site buttons and controls. For example, in the page at www.google.com, the buttons "Google Search" and "I'm Feeling Lucky" are not shown using Windows XP visual styles. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Simply load a web page that shows buttons or controls, for example http://www.google.com. Actual Results: The web page is displayed correctly, but buttons and controls are shown without the use of visual styles. Expected Results: Mozilla should have loaded the corresponding web sites enabling visual styles on buttons and controls. This "bug" occurs with both themes (classic and modern), and makes web sites look quite odd.

Component->HTML Form Controls & Severity->Enhancement -- I searched for a duplicate of this bug, but didn't find one. Because Windows XP visual styles are achieved using windowed controls, I suspect that mozilla will never support them. Mozilla has its own system of styling these items, using CSS and skins. I recommend that this should be marked WONTFIX, but others know more than I do about the internals of the rendering engine and whether WinXP native visual styles would be impossible to support. I know we created this nsITheme stuff a while back; we could likely use or mimick what they are doing. This is a priority for layout. I suspect there is a dup of this bug somewhere, though--I just can't find it.
