https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox&hl=lt offers a stable version of Firefox, but promotes it as beta. I've checked a couple other languages, but only found this issue with Lithuanian. It could be because some release strings were missing, but still I don't think they should have been inherited from Beta like this. For the record, I've also translated all missing appstores strings into Lithuanian.

Thank you for filing this bug! I think the root cause is bug 1444391 + some bad timing. Strings on Google Play are updated every time we publish a new version. org.mozilla.firefox was last released on Sept 21st[1]. Automation downloads all available strings from [2] every time we kick a release off. In this, it was a day earlier[3]. In [3], the list of available locales didn't contain the 'lt' language. I see it stores_l10n does make it available these days[4]. Therefore, I think the lt locale will be updated next time a release is published. Why is it showing "beta" instead? Bug 1444391 made automation pick the locales from beta, instead of release about 6 months ago. My understanding is that the beta strings were available back then, but not the release ones. That's why it may have remained this way for the past 6 months. Rimas, could you tell whether you updated the strings after Sept 21st? Could you also tell me if the locale was validated after this date?
