Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0
Steps to reproduce:
(tried with Linux/63.0)
- Open Firefox
- Immediately go to the search bar and start typing
Actual results:
The URL for the default page either replaces or gets appended to the search text I was tying to write. Note that this happens only when Firefox is just started. Subsequent searches work OK. I believe this is because the new version of firefox attempts to load the default page without paying attention to whether text is being typed in the bar or not.
Expected results:
If I already started typing, I'd expect Firefox to not attempt populating the search box with the default URL and let me finish typing to start searching.
