[Affected versions]:
- Win10x64, Ubuntu 16.04 x64, macOS10.12.6

[Affected platforms]:
- Firefox: 65.0a1 (2018-12-07), 66.0a1 (2018-12-11);  

[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Open data:text/html,<style>body{color:red}</style>test
2. Open the Inspector - Changes tab;
3. Click on the Color swatch in the rules section;
4. Click inside the panel and move the mouse around(inside it);
5. Close the picker and observe the values in the changes tab section;

[Expected result]:
- as soon as the picker is closed the color values should remain static; 
*would probably make sense that as soon as the picker is closed the colorCode to simply jump to the previous or newly selected value;

[Actual result]: 
- the values in the changes tab seem to be displayed with a delay;

[Regression range]:
- introduced with bug 1468754;

[Additional notes]:
- attached recording with the issue;
- Preference: devtools.inspector.changes.enabled - true | if the Changes tab not displayed in the inspector;

We have a more general bug for this problem in Bug 1503036. The fix there will resolve this issue, and similar issues that exist for other devtools sliders, such as in the Shape Path Editor and the Font Editor.
