User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0 Steps to reproduce: Upgraded Firefox from 63.0.3 to 64.0 on 12/12/2018 Launched vSphere Web Client and received the following errors after the login screen. "An internal error has occurred - Error #2134. Reloading the client is recommended, so as to clear any problems left by this error. Click Yes to reload the vSphere Web Client? Show error stack..." Clicking Yes does not resolve the problem. Error stack: "Error: Error #2134 at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::StorageObjectWriter/initialize() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::StorageObjectWriter$/getInstanceByName() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::LocalStoreTarget/initialize() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::LogManager$/addTarget() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::LogManager$/addConfiguration() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::LogManager$/onConfigLoaded() at ConfigurationLoader/onLoadSuccess() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent() at flash.net::URLLoader/onComplete()" Flash Player 32 NPAPI installed. Actual results: vSphere Web Client fails to load after the login screen. Expected results: vSphere Web Client loads.
Reporter: Please open about:config as URL in Firefox, confirm the warning, enter "sandbox" in the top filter bar and change dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash from "3" to "0" and restart Firefox. Does that fix the problem ? Please do not forget to switch that setting back to "3" after your test.

No need to re-open but wanted to confirm changing dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash from "3" to "0" and restarting Firefox solves this issue.

Hello there!
I had the same error in my Firefox 76.0.1 (64-bit)
After changing dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash from 3 to 0 it works fine.
Thanks!

Adding information... this error still exist, this cause a lot of Sysadmin Moving from Firefox to Chrome because it works out of the box, no error, no exception, nada.... I think dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash to 0 is dangerous as we know it allow NPAPI plugin to run in theory, even it's dropped. Anyway, I have firefox 103, and this is the error that happen on it...

I hope Mozilla get to the bottom of this, as 30-40% of market using this tools on browser... and sysadmin is why company deploying different browser, and towards web monoculture... *so sad.

This probably needs someone to investigate why it's broken on Firefox; the breakage is probably different from the original IPC sandboxing related breakage given that we haven't supported flash or other NPAPI plugins for a long time now.

Dennis, do we have contacts with vmware who could help us debug this?

I'm not aware of any established contacts, unfortunately. However, I found someone on LinkedIn who appears to be the "Web & Mobile UI Tech Lead", and I sent them a message. Will update here if I get a response!

Dennis, any news on the issue? I am afraid I am missing some steps to reproduce the issue, as I am not aware of how vSphere Web Client works.

I've sent messages to several VMware employees via LinkedIn. I have not received a single response. I just sent another message to a "Full Stack Developer" at VMware, but there's a limit to what I can do.

I can't give you STRs because I don't have access to an affected installation. If I would have, I could just diagnose this myself, but that's not the case, unfortunately.
