I don't feel like we should make them require fancy new rust versions. The only rust code they build is rustc_demangle, which builds just fine with older versions of rust and doesn't change much.

The tools/crashreporter project only builds one crate, that rarely
changes, and currently builds with rustc 1.22.

I'm not sure I agree that it's worthwhile to maintain a separate minimum version for this. It seems like it would be easier in the long-term to simply update the Rust toolchain for the minidump_stackwalk jobs in lockstep with Firefox.

This comes up every time. There's no reason to rebuild toolchains just because we upgraded rust.
