Details

Note

  • When the user taps and holds the "little yellow man" (a.k.a Pegman) and then attempts to drop it on a location where he wishes to enter Street View mode, he will be disappointed by not being able to enter Street View this way.

Affected versions

  • Nightly v67.0a1 (2019-02-15) (arch64 build)

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10 v1803 on Lenovo Yoga (table mode)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open https://www.google.com/maps
  2. Tap and hold the "little yellow man" to pick him up, then drag and drop him over an area with blue lines or blue areas, to enter Street View or Ptoho Sphere mode.

Expected result

  • The "little yellow man" (Pegman) has a cute animation of him being picked up, responding to left-right movements with inertia and, when dropped over a Street View/Photo Sphere area, this mode will be entered at the chosen location.

Actual result

  • The "little yellow man" (Pegman) will disappear when picked up and cannot be dropped at a chosen location, always showing an animation of it being dragged back into it's designated button area.

Additional notes

  • This issue does not occur in EDGE browser. The behavior on Chrome is that the "little yellow man" can only be used as a toggle button. Won't get picked up.
Priority: -- → P3

This issue also occurs when using the stylus.

Component: Event Handling → User events and focus handling

Are you still having trouble dragging 'pegperson' in Street View? Assuming this is now fixed.

Flags: needinfo?(daniel.bodea)

No, this issue still occurs on 2 different Lonovo Yoga C630 with different Windows versions on the latest of each channel's versions.
