The whole manually uncommenting lines of code thing has gone about as far as we can take it, I think.
We should start using "experimental" for experimental language and library features. That way they'll clump together in the about:config UI and it'll be obvious which options are for features and which are for xtreme debugging. I'll start that with this one:
javascript.options.experimental.fields
Changing existing prefs would be bad, since people are using those to express their preferences.

This creates a shell command-line option, --enable-experimental-fields
, and a
Gecko pref, javascript.options.experimental.fields
.
Both are off by default everywhere, for now.
